6 Ways To Find Your Power Through Inner Peace | The CognoZen Method

Keep reading to learn 6 ways to find your power through peace.

Ever feel like you’re constantly running on a hamster wheel, thoughts racing, to-do list overflowing, stress levels through the roof?

Yeah, I think we all do.

In today’s world, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos, to feel like we need to be “on” all the time. But what if I told you that the secret to accessing your full potential lies in doing the exact opposite?

It might sound counterintuitive, but the calmer you are, the more you can tap into your inner power.

Think about it: when you’re stressed and overwhelmed, it’s hard to think straight, let alone come up with brilliant ideas or communicate effectively. But when you’re calm and centered, your mind is clear, your creativity flows, and you’re better able to connect with others.

Peace isn’t just about feeling good (though it definitely does that!). It’s about creating a solid foundation for every aspect of your life.

When you prioritize your peace, you’re essentially saying, “I value my well-being, my clarity, and my ability to show up as my best self.”

And from that place of inner calm, you can achieve amazing things.

Action Steps:

  • Create a Calm Corner: Designate a space in your home – even if it’s just a cozy chair or a corner of your bedroom – where you can retreat when you need a moment of peace. Fill it with things that bring you joy and relaxation, like candles, soft blankets, or calming music. Spend 10 – 15 minutes there (or more!) every single day. Be intentional about scheduling time to relax, unwind, and tap into your inner zen.
  • Do a CognoZen session: This is my go-to method for regulating my nervous system in as little as 10 minutes. Doing multiple CognoZen sessions throughout the day helps me to stay centered, grounded, focused, and far more happier and productive throughout the day.
  • Move Your Body: Physical activity is a natural stress reliever. Find a form of movement that you enjoy – whether it’s dancing, yoga, or a brisk walk – and make it a regular part of your routine. I like to do some Qigong shaking and jump on a trampoline to help get rid of excess energy in my body.

Another helpful method is to lean into a wall and push as hard as you can, like you’re trying to move it. It may sound weird but it’s a great way to process anger and anxiety without injuring yourself or anyone else. You can do it for as long as you want. Eventually you’ll tire yourself out!
  • Digital Detox: Social media can be a LOT, especially during election years like this one. Take regular breaks from technology. Set aside time each day to disconnect from your phone, computer, and other devices. Use this time to connect with nature, read a book, or simply be present in the moment.
  • Connect with Nature: Spending time in nature has a profound calming effect on our minds and bodies. If you’ve read any of my other posts, you know how important walking for 20 – 30 minutes a day is for me. Make a point of getting outside regularly, whether it’s for a walk in the park, a hike in the woods, or simply sitting in your backyard and enjoying the fresh air. You’d be surprised what a positive impact standing in the sun, feeling the breeze on your skin, and listening to the birds sing can have on you!
  • Learn to Say No: It’s okay to say no to things that don’t serve you or add to your stress levels. Don’t overcommit yourself or feel obligated to say yes to everything. Protecting your peace is more important than pleasing everyone else.

Affirmation:

“I am calm, centered, and at peace. I prioritize my well-being and create space for tranquility in my life. From this place of inner peace, I am creative, articulate, understanding, influential, healthy, happy, and powerful.”

Remember, prioritizing your peace is not selfish; it’s an act of self-love and self-preservation. It’s about recognizing that when you’re calm and centered, you’re better equipped to handle life’s challenges, connect with others, and create a life that truly lights you up.
